Accessibility
Culture belongs to everyone.
01
Our commitment
The Museum of Street Style believes that access to art, history, research and cultural expression should not be determined by physical ability, technological access or individual circumstance. Accessibility is an essential consideration in the development of The MoSS.
As we build our digital platform and plan future physical experiences, we aim to identify and reduce barriers to participation. Our approach is informed by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. This is a target, not a claim of independently certified or complete conformance.
02
Digital accessibility
The digital platform includes keyboard-operable navigation, a skip-to-content link, visible focus indicators, structured headings, descriptive image text, labelled forms, submission feedback and layouts that adapt to different screen sizes. Reduced-motion preferences are respected.
We continue to improve readability, contrast and access to our content. Conceptual imagery is identified so that visitors can distinguish it from historical documentation.
03
Ongoing improvements
The MoSS recognises that accessibility is not a fixed achievement but a continuing responsibility. As our digital collections, exhibitions and educational resources expand, we will continue to evaluate accessibility and address identified barriers.
Known limitations: a comprehensive independent WCAG audit and testing with a range of assistive technologies have not been completed. Accessibility may vary across external resources and downloadable documents. The absence of a listed issue does not mean that every interaction is accessible to every visitor.
04
Assistance & feedback
We welcome feedback about accessibility barriers encountered while using this website. If you experience difficulty accessing content or completing an action, please contact us so that we can review the issue and explore an appropriate alternative.
Use the form below to describe the page and action involved. Your name and assistive technology are optional. An email address is needed if you want a response. You do not need to disclose a medical condition or disability. If this form itself is difficult to use, the Contact page provides an alternative inquiry pathway.
05
Future museum accessibility
The MoSS intends to incorporate accessibility into the planning of its future exhibitions, public programmes and physical spaces. Specific visitor accommodations and accessibility services will be announced as those facilities and programmes are developed. No unconfirmed physical access features or services are advertised here.
